Client Services Offer
- Previous experience in an administration role.
- Professional presentation and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Manager
- Degree qualified, appropriate to position and post graduate qualifications (CPA/CA or MBA).
- Ideally a minimum of 5 years tax and business services experience.
- Proficient use of various accounting software systems including MYOB, Xero and ATO Portal.
- High level of technical and compliance skills with a strong understanding of and an ability to apply, Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Taxation Legislation.
- Strong communicator and networker.
- Highly organised, with ability to set self, team priorities, and meet lodgement periods.
- Analytical thinker, problem solver, continuous improvement approach.
Accountant
- Degree qualified, appropriate to position, not essential however advantageous to have professional certification (CPA or CA)
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in similar role.
- Proficient use of various accounting software systems including MYOB AE, Microsoft Office suite of products, Xero and ATO Portal.
- High level of technical and compliance skills with a strong understanding of and an ability to apply, Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Taxation Legislation.
- Demonstrated sound level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with an ability to network.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high performing team to achieve objectives.
- High level of organisation skills with proven ability to set priorities and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
- An analytical thinker with problem solving skills and a continuous improvement approach.
Graduate Accountant
- Recently completed, or nearing completion of a degree qualification appropriate to position.
- Self-motivated and a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated sound level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Peter Cavallo

Peter joined the Carey Group in 1993 after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from James Cook University. Peter left the firm in 2001 to further develop his experience and skill sets in accountancy and taxation across a broad base of industries, before returning in 2015. He has built a strong client base in Real Estate, Housing and Construction, and Business sectors. Peter was admitted as Partner in 2016.

Grant Matthews
AFP®, B.Bus, GDFPFinancial Planner
Grant Matthews embarked on his professional journey with Carey Group in 2018, assuming the positions of Associate Adviser and later Financial Adviser. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, specialising in Accounting and Financial Management, as well as a Diploma in Financial Planning. With a commitment to continuous learning, Grant has since completed a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Furthermore, he recently concluded his final subject for a Masters degree, with plans to incorporate it into his profile come July, pending successful completion. Holding licenses as a Registered Financial Planner and ASIC Authorized Representative, Grant takes pride in his membership as an AFP (Financial Advice Association of Australia) member.

Nikeeta Guazzo

Nikeeta graduated from James Cook University, as a Certified Practising Accountant and a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). Nikeeta joined the Carey Group in 2002 as a graduate accountant, and has built a strong client base across Agribusiness, Farming and Business sectors. Nikeeta was admitted Partner in 2016.
