The experienced partners at Carey Group

Joe joined the Carey Group in 1985. An educational base in commerce, business, law and financial planning has allowed Joe to form a strong foundation in strategic client advice. Joe was admitted as Partner in 1988.

Matthew joined the firm in 2002 while finalising his secondary school studies. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce at James Cook University in 2007 and has built a strong client base across the Agribusiness, Farming and Business sectors. Matthew was admitted as Partner in 2016.

Daniel joined the Carey Group in 2008 as a Financial Planner, having gained his experience in several financial advisory firms following his completion of a Bachelor of Economics at James Cook University in 2003. He has built a strong client base across many sectors including Business, Medical Professionals, and high net wealth investors. Daniel was admitted as Partner in 2016.

Peter joined the Carey Group in 1993 as a graduate accountant after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from James Cook University in 1993. Peter left the firm in 2001 to further develop his experience and skill sets in accountancy and taxation across a broad base of industries, before returning in 2015. He has built a strong client base in Real Estate, Housing and Construction, and Business sectors. Peter was admitted as Partner in 2016.

Nikeeta undertook her university studies at James Cook University, graduating as a Certified Practising Accountant and a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). Nikeeta joined the Carey Group in 2002 as a graduate accountant, and has built a strong client base across Agribusiness, Farming and Business sectors. Nikeeta was admitted Partner in 2016.

Greg is a born and bred Cairns local. Before pursuing a career in Accountancy in 2004, Greg spent four years on the tools as a Carpenter in the local building industry during which time he attained his trade qualification. He started his own accounting firm in 2011, building a strong client base in Housing and Construction, and Business sectors, before merging with Carey Group in late 2021. Greg was admitted as Partner in 2021.

Matt moved to Townsville with his family in 2017. He has operated at an Executive level in global organisations for the past 15 years, in roles including Chief Financial Officer and Managing Partner. Matt established Business Advisory for Carey Group and was appointed Managing Partner in July 2019.

Robert commenced with the Carey Group in 1972. He completed his Bachelor of Business degree in Rockhampton in 1976 and was admitted as partner in that same year. With 50 years of experience Robert has built a strong client base across the Agribusiness, Farming and Business sectors.
